It was very difficult to get on a street to where I was on the right side of the street to valet park. Short Walking distance to restaurants and At&T entertainment area where are you can purchase drinks from an outdoor bar and then they do have a few restaurants in the area.

The room was very nice looking, No exciting view of the city on 11th floor, Look old such as chips in paint and door to room but I Felt that it was properly clean and the furniture looked very nice. Let's Begin: Hotel front desk clerk at check in was not helpful in assisting me to understand valet which I had accidentally paid for thinking that I was just paying to park overnight in a garage and that I will park the car myself. The location is ideal for easy walking to everything the area has to offer and there are some exceptional restaurants and bars nearby. With Coffee and Tea at the ready and a mini fridge you can't help feeling right at home. Although the rooms are modern and extremely relaxing, upon walking in you can't help feeling the dated warmth this wonderful old building has to offer. Although the separated business center off the lobby is very useful, I could imagine it being used as a lounge with live music to really bring that lobby alive like I have seen in other IHG properties. Lots of natural light makes this hotel lobby a comfortable and energetic place to sit, relax or converse. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the comfortable lobby and the openness of the very large dining room it was very well designed. Walking in the front doors, I always look forward to experiencing the uniqueness of each of these properties. Overall, the stay was fine, but I think there may be better options to stay in Downtown Dallas.…Īnother fantastic IHG property! This hotel is obviously quite old and still a very beautiful building. No "Do not Disturb" or "Please Make Up My Room" sign in the room. Bed was only made once and none of the soaps etc replaced when empty. The hand sanitiser next to the main elevator on the ground floor remained empty for my entire stay, which made me doubt the "IHG Clean Promise".

At night locals appear to like revving their cars loudly and creating a lot of noise, and as the hotel room windows are not soundproofed, this could be problematic for light sleepers, or those who don't like loud, obnoxious cars. As mentioned, the information provided by reception relating to the restaurant was incorrect. No information provided in room, such as information on food and dining, laundry or general hotel information. Reception suggested I go to an Irish bar around the corner for dinner.

This was despite the information provided at check in that it would be open daily for dinner.

Some negatives: The restaurant and bar was closed on two of the three nights I stayed. There isn't much else around other than car parks and office towers. You can walk to Dealey Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum.
